Started with Quarry Stone. Now We Move Anything
RN Roberts & Sons started in 1989 with one lorry hauling quarry stone across North Wales. Over the years the work grew and changed, into general haulage, low loaders, HIAB and abnormal loads, as customers asked for more.
Today Nigel and the team run a modern fleet covering North Wales, Chester, Cheshire and the wider UK. Reliability is what the business was built on and it is still what customers come back for. The loads turn up when we said they would.

The First Lorry
Nigel and his father buy a vehicle and begin hauling quarry products and aggregates around North Wales.
Beyond the Quarry
Customers start asking for more than stone. Nigel moves into general haulage, then low loaders and hiab work, building the fleet around what people need moving.
Abnormal Loads
The heavy and awkward work follows: plant, machinery, and loads that need permits, route planning and a police notification before they turn a wheel.
MLR Trailers
Customers want the trailers without the driver. The trailer hire division launches, offering low loaders, step extenders, flatbeds, curtainsiders and hiab stepframes.
Nigel and Family
Nigel and the family run the business together. Artics, rigid hiabs, a drawbar, an escort vehicle, and a yard full of trailers.

Our Trailer Hire Division
MLR Trailers is our hire arm. Low loaders, step extenders, flatbeds, curtainsiders and hiab stepframes, on short or long term hire.
These are the trailers our own drivers use. Owned, maintained and inspected to the standard we depend on ourselves, not a separate rental fleet bought in to be hired out.
Have us move the load, or hire the trailer and move it yourself. Same yard, same family, either way.

Based in Sandycroft, Covering North Wales and Beyond
Our yard is in Sandycroft on Deeside, minutes from the Welsh and Cheshire borders. From there we cover North Wales and the wider UK, with Wrexham, Flint and Mold on the doorstep and long-distance work across the country.
We also deliver nationwide, and many customers travel to us.
